# GLP-1 dose chart: what the labels list.

The doses each GLP-1 medication comes in, how often it’s taken and in what form, from the US prescribing information on DailyMed. It’s a reference for reading a prescription or setting up a log, not a dosing schedule: your prescriber decides your dose and when it changes.

## How to read it

- **Listed isn’t prescribed**: A label lists every strength a medication comes in. Which one you take, and when it changes, is your prescriber’s decision.

- **Same drug, different brands**: Ozempic® and Wegovy® are both semaglutide; Mounjaro® and Zepbound® are both tirzepatide. They’re approved for different uses and come in different strengths.

- **Pills aren’t pens**: Oral semaglutide doses are in different milligrams from the injection. They aren’t interchangeable by number.

- **Missed doses**: The labels differ on what to do after a missed dose. Your label explains it; ask your prescriber or pharmacist if you’re unsure.

## Compounded medication

Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide aren’t FDA-approved, so there’s no label of this kind and no standard chart. Strength depends on the pharmacy: the same milligram dose can be a different number of units on the syringe. Go by the instructions from your prescriber and pharmacy, and record both the milligrams and the units. [Tracking compounded GLP-1](https://maxhp.me/compounded-glp-1-tracker).

## Logging your dose

When you set up Max HP, you pick your medication and enter the dose your prescriber set. Max HP never suggests, calculates or changes a dose. Each time the dose changes, you start a new [dose step](https://maxhp.me/dose-steps), and the Ladder shows how each one went.
