GLP‑1 App Privacy Index: what 53 tracker apps declare.

We read the US App Store privacy labels and listings of 53 GLP‑1 tracking apps on 3 November 2026 and recorded what each one declares and claims. The full table and the data are free to use. Max HP makes a GLP‑1 tracker, so we’re one of the apps being compared: our row is shown separately and left out of every count.

Findings

  • 15 of 38 apps that call themselves private declare Data Used to Track You.That’s 39% of the apps whose listing makes a privacy claim. 13 of the 38 declare Health & Fitness data linked to you.
  • 11 of the 20 most-rated GLP‑1 trackers declare tracking.7 of those 20 declare Health & Fitness data linked to you.
  • 7 of 53 apps declare Data Not Collected. That’s the label for an app that sends nothing it has to declare.
  • 28 listings say your data stays on your device. 9 say anything about backups.Only 2 say the data is left out of iPhone backups. On iPhone, app data goes into iCloud or computer backups unless the app leaves it out, so “on your device” usually also means “in your backup”.
  • 18 of 53 listings advertise AI features.Photo meal scanning, chat coaches and AI summaries are common. Most of these listings don’t say what is sent to an AI provider.

Privacy claims next to tracking labels

These are the 15 apps whose listing makes a privacy claim and whose label also lists Data Used to Track You. Both columns are quoted from the same App Store page. A label doesn’t say which feature or tool the tracking comes from, and none of these labels list Health & Fitness as used to track you. For what each label section means, see Apple’s App Privacy Details.

What a label can and can’t tell you

Each label is the developer’s own answer to Apple’s questions. Apple tells developers: “You’re responsible for keeping your responses accurate and up to date.” We recorded labels as published and didn’t test what any app sends. A label covers data an app sends off the phone; data kept only on the device isn’t declared. It also doesn’t cover your iPhone backup. Apple explains the labels for people choosing apps in its App Store guide. App names are as each developer published them. Mounjaro® and Zepbound® are trademarks of their owners, who aren’t connected with these apps or with the Index.

Where Max HP fits

Max HP isn’t on the App Store yet, so it has no published label. The answers we’ve prepared declare no tracking and nothing linked to you. They do declare anonymous usage counts, purchase history and diagnostics, not linked to you, for analytics, so Max HP’s label won’t be Data Not Collected. 7 apps in the Index already have that label. Max HP has no account, and your log is never sent to us. Setup asks whether your iPhone backup includes the log. How Max HP stores your log.

Using the data

The CSV has one row per app: label fields, the quoted listing sentences each judgement rests on, links to the listing and privacy policy, and the read date. It’s published under CC BY 4.0: use it for anything, with credit to “Max HP, GLP‑1 App Privacy Index 2026” and a link to this page.

If you make one of these apps and something here is wrong or out of date, email help@maxhp.me and we’ll fix the row and note the change in the changelog.

Questions

Which GLP‑1 tracker apps declare Data Not Collected?
On 3 November 2026: GLP‑1 Tracker • Pokii, GLP 1 Tracker Free.Well™, OneGLP: Zepbound GLP 1 Tracker, Fitward, JabKeeper: GLP‑1 Dose Tracker, Plainlog: GLP‑1 Dose & Weight, PocketGLP. Labels change with app updates, so check the App Store listing before relying on one.
Does “private” in an App Store listing mean an app doesn’t track you?
Not on its own. In this Index, 15 of the 38 apps that make a privacy claim also declare Data Used to Track You. The label is the better guide, and it sits on the same page as the description.
Is my GLP‑1 log in my iCloud backup?
Usually, if the app keeps it on your iPhone and you back up to iCloud. Only 2 of the 53 listings say their data is left out of backups. Ask the developer, or check the app’s privacy policy.
How often is the Index updated?
Once a year, with corrections in between. Each change is dated in the changelog.
